Introduction to Avemar and COVID-19 Vaccines
The peer-reviewed biomedical literature recognizes the proprietary fermented wheat germ extract (FWGE), known as Avemar, for its significant anticancer and immune modulatory properties. Researchers have shown that Avemar completely restores healthy immune functions in laboratory animals with impaired immunity through oral administration.
Avemar’s Impact on COVID-19 Vaccine Efficacy
Avemar does not hinder the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines. In fact, it may even enhance the immune response to vaccination due to its positive effects on immune functions. For example, Avemar significantly increases the ratio of CD4+ T and NK cells and activates monocytes, demonstrating potent immune modulatory activity in vivo cancer studies.
COVID-19 Vaccination and Immune Response
Vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 has been proven to develop protective and enduring immunity, mainly through sustained T cell immune responses. These T cells, especially CD4+ and CD8+, and their memory cells, produce vital effectors such as the antiviral cytokine interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) to protect against virus infection.
Importance of CD4+ T Cells in Preventing COVID-19
CD4+ T cell responses are crucial in preventing SARS-CoV-2 infection. Patients with adequate CD4+ T cells typically avoid severe COVID-19 disease. Research shows that IFN-γ produced by SARS-CoV-2 specific CD4+ T cells is critical in preventing fatal outcomes.
Clinical Evidence Supporting Avemar’s Benefits
In COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials, such as those with the BNT162b1 vaccine developed by BioNTech and Pfizer, researchers observed robust CD4+ T cell responses, strong interferon-gamma production, and significant antibody responses. This suggests that even at low doses, the vaccine is highly effective, and Avemar’s immune modulatory properties likely support this response.
Avemar’s Effect on Other Vaccinations
Studies in broiler chickens vaccinated against infective bursitis and Newcastle disease show that when fed with FWGE containing feeds, specific antibody titers were significantly higher. These results indicate that FWGE enhances the immune response after vaccination, a finding confirmed by large-scale immunization experiments in farm animals.
Conclusion
Administering Avemar alongside COVID-19 vaccines certainly does not reduce the vaccines’ efficacy; it likely improves it. Through its well-established immune modulatory properties, Avemar offers additional support to the body’s immune response during vaccination.
